1968 Chevrolet Chevelle Additional Info:
1968 Chevelle Malibu 327/275, matching #, M21, 10 bolt 3.08, factory AC, PS, factory tint, My mother bought this car in 1993 from a gentleman in Vero Beach, FL were he had bought it new. It was a powerglide, bench seat car with no black top. I inherited the car in 1995 and put in bucket seats, a 1966 Muncie M21 and black top. I only drove the car on occasion until the rear started leaking. That took the car off the road and it took almost twenty years to get back to it. Fast foward to 2015 and I started a frame off restoration with a friend of mine who has his own body shop. I will list the new parts starting at the front. horns, radiator, fan, fan clutch, quick ratio steering box, p.s. pump, Moog front end, Hotchkis lowering springs, poly sway bar bush.& end links, Monroe shocks, alternator, starter, fuel pump, original Q jet rebuilt, HEI distributer ( original point type included ), Brakes ALL NEW, AC ALL NEW, clutch, Hurst shifter, exhaust, fuel tank with stainless pickup/sender, 5 15x7 rally wheels and Firestone tires. I tried to get a fifth matching tire for the spare but having trouble finding one. windshield, fender emblems, outside door handles, interior door handle mechanisms, headliner, carpet, firewall pad, buckets seats completely rebuilt with new springs, foam, ( seats are 69 style headrests are included.) All five locks with original style keys. My buddy let me assist in the restoration. I personally cleaned every part of the AC and resealed the ducts. Again all ac parts are new, every component, hose, fitting new. The body has all original sheet metal with one lwr. quarter panel patch behind the drivers rear wheel. The glass and chrome are driver quality, some scratches but nothing that takes away from the whole package. The frame and underhood black is single-stage paint so that it can be cleaned many times and retain its finish. The 327 has been rebuilt to 327/300 spec, .30 over, Comp 327/300 cam/lifters. The muncie I bought in 1994 with a 396, both out of a 1966 chevelle ss. It had sat with the engine since the early eighties. Still factory, shifts nice, those who dont know the M21 is a close ratio 4 speed, just like the rock-crusher without the noise. The original 10 bolt posi 3.08 is out of the car. It is pictured with the original 2 spd. Both are included. The rear needs bearings, the pinion bearing feels rough. I planned on having it re-done, just didnt get to it. A friend had a good 10 bolt 3.08 non posi which is the car now. The powerglide and all the pieces that came off the car are included. Have receipts for all listed parts. I restored this car to be a turn-key driver which it is. If you want all the fun with no work here it is. This car is very nice, all around. I have always run lead additive or avgas because the heads are factory 461 casting and worth protecting. 1968 was the last year for the 327, first year for this body with its modern styling. Perfect combo of old and new. I am more than happy to show the car it is as nice as it looks. Motivated seller, make offer Any questions 772-971-6069. Thanks
