1967 Chevrolet Impala Additional Info:
This listing is for a 1967 Chevrolet Impala with a 396 big block and TH400 automatic with 12 bolt rear. Restoration was completed about 3 years ago, has only been driven about 1000 miles since then. Car was originally a 283/3 speed/10bolt prior to frame off restoration. Car spent most of it's life in Arizona and was rust free. The frame was sandblasted and painted and the body stripped to bare metal then epoxy primed and painted in BC/CC. All suspension components were rebuilt with new bushings and all wear items replaced. New springs, shocks, brakes, brake lines, fuel lines, all wiring harnesses, engine accessories, power brake booster/master cylinder were installed. Interior was completely replaced with new headliner, seat covers and foam, carpet, door panels, and a new stereo with an amp. The A/C was rebuilt with new classic auto air condensor, compressor, and receiver/drier that were fit to the orignal A/C box on the firewall. The car is a good solid driver, but not a show car. It has a few little chips and scratches from being driven the last 3 years since the restoration was completed. The only known mechanical issues are that the fuel gauge is not currently working (this has been an intermittent problem for a while), there is a trans fluid leak (the trans was rebuilt before installation and runs and shifts fine, it only needs to be topped off with a pint or so every year), and on very hot days with the A/C on the car will run hot (it has not overheated, but will get up to 215 or so. Without the A/C on the car will run all day at 190. I think it needs a better fan shroud or switched to electric fans).
