1978 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Additional Info:
1978 Chevy Monte Carlo (Former) Raceway Park Bomber or Elko Speedway Power Stock car. 307 SBC, Turbo 350 auto trans, 4 bbl quadrajet, New QA1 street stock shocks, new Affco low friction upper extended ball joints, new QA1 lower adjustable extended lower ball joints, new Afco upper & lower rear control arm bushings with spherical Bushings, new Afco 78-88 GM metric improved geometry steering center link, detachable steering wheel, 20° Kirkey layback seat (no seat cover), marine gas tank, dual Ø2-1/2" OD custom mandrill bent exhaust, Pypes cross member, TCI shifter, Ø5" Autometer Tach w/ memory recall. The bad, when the car was ran at Raceway Park we used a 2bbl carb. When the track closed and we moved over to Elko Speedway, the rules allowed us to run a 4bbl quadrajet carb. I found out the heads where shaved (to increase compression), the new intake would not seal up and leak water at race temps (210 - 220°). I no longer have the 2 bbl intake. The motor does run and start just fine, it does have a very aggressive cam in it as well. There is No Tittle and not sure of the original millage. It's a race car, there's no odometer.
