Up for sale we have a 1972 Chevy C10 short bed. This C10 has had a frame on restoration with a few upgrades like the 468 Big Block, Vintage Heat and AC. The fuel tank was moved to under the bed and it has drop spindles with lowering springs to give it a killer stance. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and heartbeat of the Chevy, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don't have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, that's how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us for more information, pictures, or any questions call our office at (865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website.
We will start off with the exterior of the C10. When you stand back and look down the sides the body is laser straight with good cab to bed fit. Everything is covered in the Tuxedo Black paint that is slick with a deep rich shine with the jams and under the hood being very nice. All the side trim has a nice fit and looks like new. Up front it appears to have a new grill insert. Both the front and rear bumpers were replaced with new ones. Looking at the glass it has a new windshield and seal with the rest of the glass being very good. Also, the weather stripping was replaced at the time of the resto. This C10 has a new vinyl bed cover and the fuel door was moved to the bed. To complete the look, it's sitting on a set of 20" Chrome Boss Wheels.
Next, we will take a look at the interior of the 72. On the inside it's done in black to complement the exterior. It has deluxe door panels along with power windows. The seat has been covered in black vinyl with cloth inserts. Also this C10 has the Deluxe headliner and new black carpet. When you look at the dash it has the stock instrument panel and a new dash pad with the AC controls being in the stock location. It does have a tilt column with a Grant Steering Wheel. The radio has been changed to a Pioneer CD Player and a set of under dash gauges were added along with a tach.
Finally, we will take a look at the heartbeat of the Chevy. Under the hood it's powered by a 468 Big Block that's dressed with a Polished Aluminum Intake and Holley Carb. The valve covers are painted Aluminum Bowties and it has an Aluminum Air Breather. This C10 has a 400 Turbo with the stock style 12 Bolt Rear End. The exhaust flows through coated headers and dual exhaust. Up front it has drop spindles with disc brakes that are power. Out back it has 5" Drop Springs with drum brakes. Also, this '72 comes with Power Steering and to keep it cool it's fitted with a four core radiator. The new fuel tank was moved from inside the cab to under the bed and had new lines installed. The floors and frame are clean and appear very solid.
