1984 Chevrolet C-10 Silverado Additional Info:

We should be glad for guys who love trucks like this 1985 Chevrolet C10, because they build wonderful old haulers and we get to pick them up for pennies on the dollar. Wearing two-year-old paint and carrying a 350 crate motor, this handsome truck is an affordable machine that looks great and still likes to work, and where else can you get this much charisma and functionality for so little cash?Finished about two years ago, this truck received a freshening of its original blue and white paint scheme that looks stylish and attractive even today. There's just no way to make one of these trucks look bad, but the two-tone paint job gives it a no-nonsense appeal that works whether you want to use it as a hauler or slam it and run it as a street machine. It does show a few signs of use, but it was never intended to be a trailer queen anyway, and the overall look is more akin to something that should be considerably more expensive. Everything's quite straight and with no deviations from the factory recipe, including original badges and big chrome mirrors, it has a handsome look that will always be popular with Chevy fans. The bed is protected with a drop-in bed liner, so get out there and haul something, will you? It also has shiny chrome bumpers front and rear, which sparkle against the paint and work well with the uprated Silverado trim. Blue is the theme inside, too, where you'll find mostly original components and materials. The factory bench appears to still be wearing its original upholstery, and it's in very good condition save for one or two small blemishes on the passenger's side. Matching blue door panels, carpets, and dash pad are likewise nice original pieces that all work together to give the truck a complete look that's not dated and not worn out. The original steering wheel hangs on a tilt steering column and most of the gauges are circa 1985, but you'll find yourself at home almost instantly once you slide behind the wheel. After all, hasn't everyone with a driver's license driven one of these at some point. The options list is long, including A/C, power windows and locks, the aforementioned tilt column, and even cruise control. The factory AM/FM radio is still in the dash and still functional, and they were smart enough to include a sliding rear window so it stays pleasant and comfortable inside even on hot days. The 350 cubic inch V8 is a GM crate motor that was installed about 20,000 miles ago, so it's fresh and ready to enjoy. They didn't do anything radical under the hood, keeping the factory throttle body fuel injection system, so it runs just the way the factory intended and has a great V8 sound from a mellow-sounding dual exhaust system. It's remarkably clean under the hood, suggesting someone really took care of it, and even underneath it doesn't look like it's spent any time in a rust belt area (which is true; this is a life-long Georgia truck). An automatic transmission and stock rear end mean that it runs down the road properly and it's been fitted with stylish Rally wheels that look great and carry 235/75/15 Michelin radials all around. An affordable truck with a ton of potential, this is a great way to get a cool vehicle for not a lot of scratch.
