1959 Chevrolet Apache 1/2 ton 4x4 NAPCO, (National Auto Parts Company) 4-wheel drive system. It sits up nice and tall with the NAPCO factory lift. a non-original Chevy 350 with HEI ignition. The vehicle is shifted through the original SM420 4-speed manual transmission and the 4x4 is driven through the original Spicer 23 divorced transfer case. The truck is geared with 3.90:1 differentials and has original WARN locking hubs that work well. SEE IT ON UTUBE Click on the link https://youtu.be/4PVRGloWb3A
This truck is not restored. It runs and drives. It has minimal rust. It has bumps and bruises and dents from 57 years of use. It appears it has been repainted at least once. The engine runs decent, transmission shifts well and the transfer case works good in high and low, and the hubs lock in and out with ease. Brakes are fair. I pulled the front cover off of the NAPCO axle and the teeth on the ring and pinion show very little wear. The original rear-end needs to be rebuilt. The glass is all there and the windows roll up and down with ease. Body is very solid, however the driver door leading edge is questionable. No rust holes in the floor. This has been a southern Utah/Arizona truck all its life. Clean Arizona title. The dash has not been cut up or drilled. It is missing the radio and some switches.
It appears the frame has been welded up near the trailing edge of the front leaf springs from some previous damage. Again, this truck is not in mint condition and I do not represent that way. Please watch the video on utube and look at all the pictures. It is a TRUE NAPCO truck.. Thank you and good luck bidding. It can be seen by appointment in St George Utah.
