Up for sale we have a 1968 Chevy Camaro SS L34 396. The first 20 plus years of this Camaro's life was in California and we have a copy of the title from when the transfer was made. It does have the matching numbers 396 350 HP Block and has had a repaint where it was changed from Rally Green to the Cortez Silver. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and heartbeat of the Chevy, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don't have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, that's how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us for more information, pictures, or any questions call our office at (865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website.
We will start off with the exterior of the Camaro. Down the sides it's laser straight with excellent fit of the panels. The hood has been changed to the 2" Steel Cowl and it has the front and rear spoilers. The body is covered in the Cortez Silver Paint that is accented by the Black Stripes that are laid under the clear. It has a deep rich shine that's slick to the touch, and all the jams are nicely done. When this Camaro was painted they had the bumpers rechromed. The stainless around the glass and atop the doors were buffed at the time of repaint and looks very good. All the weather stripping appears to have been replaced along with the window felt. The glass all looks good along with the seals. To finish off the look it's sitting on a set of factory 14" rallys with flat centers and rings.
Next, we will take a look at the interior of the SS. On the inside everything looks like new and is done in black to complement the exterior. This Camaro comes with the beautiful Deluxe Seat Covers and Door panels. The carpet and headliner look very good. You'll notice the console has the Hurst shifter and wood grain trim along with console gauges. When you look at the dash it has the in dash tach. This '68 comes with the correct seat belts.
Finally, we will take a look at the heartbeat of the Chevy. Under the hood it's clean and neat with the inner fenders and firewall being painted correct. The power comes from the matching numbers L34 396 350 HP block. It's mated to the Date code correct Muncie Four Speed and a 12 Bolt Rear End. The engine is dressed with an Aluminum Intake and Holley Carb. It has the chrome valve covers and breather with a set of coated headers. The exhaust is 2 " with Flows. The brakes are Factory Front Power Disc with Drums out back. Also, it comes with power steering. To keep it cool it has a Four Core Radiator. When you look under this car the floors look very good as does the front sub frame. A set of traction bars have been added and it appears to have a had a new fuel tank installed at some point.
