1951 Chevrolet Other Pickups 3100 SWB Additional Info:

Up for auction is my 1951 pickup, which I've spent the past 2+ years building from the frame up. I bought the truck from the original owner's son out of Mississippi. This truck had very low miles and was used on the farm exclusively. The body was amazingly straight and solid as you can see in pictures. No body work has been done to change this truck! Chassis is from a 1954 that I has blasted/powdercoated. Engine, harness, ECU, and pedal were pulled from a 2005 Corvette LS2 with 45k miles(I have paperwork from car). The ECU and TCM were mounted underneath the dash. Front end is a Mustang II power rack and pinion. Also added were front vented/slotted disc brakes, Vintage Air, American Auto Wire kit, CPP tilt column, smoke tint glass, Accuair suspension with E-level(3 presets via controller), new chrome trim, front/rear headlights and tail lights, 2-speed windshield wipers, new weatherstripping, and New Vintage gauges. The fuel tank has been relocated to the rear with an Aeromotive Stealth in-tank pump(Super Quiet). A 1992 Camaro rearend is under the rearend with Himenez Bros 2-link setup. A new posi track 3:42 unit was installed along with all new bearings and seals. It rides on 18/20 inch BG wheels that the centers have been repainted to have a slightly more yellow-silver tint. The tires are General G - Max. The truck had rust in cab corners that I patched from the inside. Floors, rockers and rest of truck had surface rust and scratches, which I purposefully left. The paint was scuffed as little as possible, and the entire truck was professionally painted with 3 coats of PPG dull clear. The dull clear really tied the truck's appearance together without having a fake "feauxtina" look. After clearing, all exterior trim and chrome were replaced. The original bench seat had foam added and contoured for more support and later covered in 2-tone Alante material to match the door panels and steering wheel. Before I installed the new interior, I put sound deadener on floors, top of cab, under and behind seat, and inside doors. Brown loop carpet was laid on floors and behind the seat with a custom carpet floor mat on top, which spans the width of the floor. New weatherstripping, fender welting, and door strikers were installed. The bed floor was raised and locally- milled cypress wood was stained/sealed with gray tint. Flat bar separates the boards and held in place with studs underneath for a clean look. The sell of the truck is As-Is with no warranty expressed or implied. If you bid, then be willing to pay for it. The truck was built to drive and enjoy, and the decals applied to the doors are vinyl. They can be removed easily with a heat gun. I'll be more than happy to answer any questions you may have, and I do encourage 3rd party inspections from any bidder. Truck is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to cancel the ad at any time.
