1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Additional Info:
this is a restored 1970 SS454 - -it was restored/repainted about 10 years ago - and i've recently started redetailing the car
the car was restored without its vinyl top (but I have all the correct halo trim)
the engine was rebuilt with lowered compression and ahydraulicroller cam - so its very happy with pump premium and no detonation.
original numbers matching engine - including the correct dated carb, and distributor, correct dated wires, plugs, original manifolds etc.
The air leveler system had been dismantled, (all but the rear valve which is still mounted in place) but i have every NOS piece to complete the system including the pump which has been installed, and original shocks.
When I got it - previous owner had 15x8 rally wheels, but i've found original YH dated 15x7 Rallys and it currently has F70x15 redline tires on it.
There are about a dozen stone chips, all have been touched up - previous driver must have put some decent highway mileage on it -
and the only paint issue (other than needing the vinyl top installed) is the hood - which looks as if the layer under the top coat is shrinking and cracking - so the hood will need to be repainted for it to really stand out.
the photos speak for themself - car runs great - although with the roller cam, the stock q-jet could use a little tweak, but iv'e not gotten that far just yet.
The entire front suspension has been rebuilt with new rubber, new brakes, new brake lines, rebuilt master and rebuilt power brake booster (both original parts) the tires have about 5000 miles on them
