67 Chevelle SS 396 4 speed

1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Super Sport Additional Info:

Original non-butchered car with the exception of older lacquer green paint (painted over original Apollo Cream). Would need overall restoration / reconditioning or install motor and drive (has not been driven since about 1996). It has original frame, suspension (front has been rebuilt), brakes (drum), 12 bolt rearend, driveshaft, steering box, etc. (Obviously the transmission and rearend would perhaps need seals, etc. Brakes would probably need shoes, wheel cylinders, master cylinder, etc. for the brakes).

• Enki 14X8 4” BS / 235-60-14 BF Goodrich Radial T/A (front)

• Enki 14X8 4” BS / 245-60-14 Sprint GT Radial 60 (rear)

• Radio holes in dash have been elongated very little for aftermarket stereo

• Front windows operate smoothly and vents and rears work, but a little sticky

• Originally black vinyl top

• Original black interior

• To my knowledge it has the original Muncie. (66-67 M20)

• Ten spline two groove input shaft

• Original 12 bolt rearend. Coding on the axel tube unknown due to not being able to see that area of the axel tube.

The car used to belong to a friend of mine and he purchased it in 1984 while living in California (documented) and had the original 396 in it at that time, but blew the motor and was later replaced with another 396. It is unknown whether the original motor was a 325 or 350 hp. The gray areas in the engine compartment is primer as he had started to recondition the car sometime in 2004. Selling due to finance other projects and to many vehicles.

All sales are final, and the car does not have any kind of warranty expressed or implied by the seller. It’s up to you (the buyer) to arrange and pay for shipping if you are not going to pick the car up in person. I will however work with the transport company to make sure that everything goes as smoothly as possible.

If you pick this car up in person you can: pay in cash or do a bank to bank transfer (it is up to you to set this up and the car and title do not leave my property until the transfer is completed. If you have the car shipped to you, you must pay in full with a bank to bank wire transfer. The car cannot be picked up until my bank is satisfied and the funds are safely transferred. Must be picked up within 2 weeks of winning. Must be paid in full within 3 business days.

The below parts belong with the Chevelle and are believed to be original based on knowing the history of the car (back to approximately 1980) and casting numbers match model year of car as per Colvin’s Chevrolet by the Numbers Reference Book. Due to requests regarding a motor or additional motor parts, I am including the 396 shortblock with the sale of the Chevelle that was in it when it operational about 1996. The following are numbers;

Casting – 3902406

Suffix – T1025IN

Serial Number – 7C11198 [(11?) Not sure what this is]

Timing chain cover

Harmonic Balancer

Pick up tube

The shortblock is bolted together and I just spun it over about a 1.5 weeks ago and it has the original factory compression ratio (factory pop ups).
