1971 Chevrolet Corvette STINGRAY Additional Info:

This is a NO RESERVE auction. Up for auction is a 1971 corvette 350/ 270hp Auto with air and black leather interior. The engine is the original numbers matching engine and runs great. The odometer reads 32,000 and was told form the previous owner it was original. The car was in storage since 1998, when I got the car. I had to drop the gas tank, clean it, rebuilt the carb, and put new gas in it and it fired right up and ran great. The undercarriage is very clean no rust holes and the engine compartment is very clean. The interior is black Leather and is in very good condition, one wear stop on the piping of the driver’s seat about an inch long and is not all cracked up like leather get when it get old. Dash and door panels are nice. The wire wheels and tires are not very good shape, but do have the original rally wheels that are in very good shape and nice white letter BF Goodrich’s that go with the car also. I bought the car to restore it because it was in need of paint, back bumpers to be re-chromed, and trim pieces like door handles, flags and so on. Things you would replace if you repainted a car. This would be a great Father & son project that could be done in a month or so. The car can be driven now, but just to let you know I did take the bumpers and other chrome off the car to get it ready to paint. I could put it back on if you are not go to paint the car or you need it shipped. The body is very nice no cracks at all and very straight. I did see that the first owner did a hood conversion to a 73 style hood to eliminate the wiper window, which was common because of problems with the wiper window on the C3’s. The left head light door sticks half way up too. This is a real nice car and won’t take much to get it show ready.
