SUPER RARE CAR, VERY SOLID. This Camaro belonged to my cousin, he passed away about 2 years ago, I remember this car when I was a little kid, "Mr. Orange" is what he called it. He bought it from the original owner in 1970, it was parked in 1980 and was placed in his new garage in the early 80's, It shows 98342 miles, beleived to be original miles, title is marked exempt. This Is An Original Matador Red TRUE 1968 SS 396 BBC, L35 325 Horsepower Camaro, Factory Four-speed With A Console, 12 Bolt Posi Rear End, 4:11 Gears, Let's Trade, What Do You Have To Offer, Equal Value. The engine is the original numbers matching L35 325 horsepower 396 BBC,suffix code on the passenger side pad on the block reads TO520MW 18N445657, look at the VIN, it matches, it still has oil and antifreeze in it, turns freely, we did not try to get it started.the four-speed is an M20 Muncie out of a 1970 Oldsmobile 442, when I was little this car had an M22 "Rock Crusher" 4 speed, not sure if that was original to the car, but that was what was in it back then, do not know what happened to it. The 12 bolt rear end is also original to the car, was 3:07 geared when built, now is 4:11 geared.. The car is a 1970s hot rod, having rear fender flares huge aluminum slot wheels and fat tires in the back, with skinnier aluminum slot wheels and smaller tires on front. The car has been in a garage since the early 1980s, the car was originally Matador red, and was painted hugger Orange in 1970, as I understand only about 1800-2000 were built to the specs of this car. It will need a complete restoration, it has rust in the trunk floor, it needs at least one floor pan and just has typical rust from being painted in 1970 till today, still a very solid buildable car or spot in the hugger orange paint and rock a bad @$$ 70's style 1968 SS396 Camaro, you would be the only one at all the car shows. As I understand also, sometime in 1980 a woman rolled into the front of the car either forwards or backwards, that is why the front sheet metal is different or primered, the fenders are firebird fenders.
