1979 Chevy K20 4x4 pickup with a 454 big block and 350 automatic transmission. Runs and drives, and the engine and transmission are both very healthy and strong, as you can see in the driving video. It has a very solid body and frame, straight body lines, solid doors, and a clean rust-free undercarriage. Factory A/C works and blows cold. It also has newer wheels and tires.
Recently had a new starter, alternator, mechanical fuel pump, and tune-up. It does leak some oil, but it does not overheat. The carburetor likely needs adjustment. It likes to start with the throttle about halfway open.
Most of the gauges work except the speedometer. It also has a Sunpro Super Tach II tachometer. The windows currently do not roll down. I haven’t looked into it enough to know if it’s something simple like a fuse or switch. All the glass is good and intact.
The interior is complete and in very good condition overall. The seat has a small rip, but the interior is all complete and presents really well for the age.
This truck has a lot going for it: real K20 4x4, strong 454 big block, healthy transmission, factory cold A/C, straight solid body, solid doors, rust-free undercarriage, complete interior, and newer rims and tires. It needs a little TLC, but the important stuff is there and it has excellent bones. Great truck to drive and improve over time or a very strong candidate for a restoration.
