This 1936 Chevy truck was designed and built by a professional race team using only the best of equipment. The engine is a Ford I6 300 built by Clifford in California. The transmission was built by LenTeck. It is a Ford AOD with a manual valve body and electric overdrive. The engine runs about 2,100 RPM at 70 miles per hour. The rear end is a Ford 9 inch with NASCAR hubs and Franklin positraction with 3.70 gears. The trucks shock absorbers are Penski 7800 series compression and rebound adjustable and rebuildable. The rear end is set up with a 4 link suspension. All suspension points are aircraft quality heim joints (about 30 of them). The front suspension is custom made independent. Must be driven to appreciate. The truck frame is full roll cage design as seen on NASCAR late models. Two race seats with 5 point harness seat belt protection.
