1993 Chevy Silverado K1500 Standard Cab Fleetside shortbed 67K miles.
Welcome to my auction. I spent a lot of time trying to find this truck, I finally found it in the Pacific Northwest and I am the second owner. I’ve owned it for a year now and have put very few miles on it. It is only up for sale now because I purchased another car that I have been looking for and do not have the garage space to store both.
What you see in the pictures is how this truck was delivered when new. The dealer added on the painted fiberglass tonneau cover, the lower painted body kit, the custom grill, painted pin stripe and dual exhaust. They also added aftermarket wheels that have since been replaced with factory wheels.
PS, PB, PW, PL, Tilt Steering, AC and 5.7 engine, It does have the Z71 package. See photo for all of the option codes.
This is the original paint. The only areas that were painted by the selling dealer when new was the lower body kit, tonneau cover and the tailgate. Below is a list of the paint depths in microns for each panel. The original paint is extremely nice and there is no clearcoat peeling that these were common for. It has been stored inside.
Hood - 102-108Driver fender - 107-108Driver door - 101-102Driver’s bedside - 101-112Roof - 80-87Passenger fender - 110-112Passenger door - 106-108Passenger bedside - 105 - 112Tailgate 92-94
What flaws does it have? Not many to be honest. A small chip or scratch here and there, The trip meter stays at zero. Some headliner sag. The rear bumper has a quarter sized dent in it - (chrome is not cracked or broken). The tonneau struts will need to be replaced (they hold the cover up but not indefinitely - ask me how I know). Where the doors meet on the back side of the door jamb, the paint has over time worn off where the seam seal is. See pictures (again minor). Fog lamps need to be wired up (wire harness is included). The fan can sometimes make noise when running on its lowest setting. The horn decided to stop working - I will be looking into that this week (Update 8/13 - this has been fixed). Also, the stereo is supposedly fairly high-end (I haven’t a clue). But the only thing I have ever got out of it was an annoying rumble. I didn’t care enough about it to look into it but for the sake of this auction just consider it inoperable.
Alpine stereo with amp and two subs behind the seat. Clifford alarm system with remote start.
The undercarriage is clean, Just minor surface rust. It’s important to note that these trucks that have the body kits on them tend to rust behind the wheel wells where the body kit is mounted. Zero rust on this one. I took the body kit completely off, cleaned behind it, had the kit completely repainted and reinstalled with stainless steel fasteners,
Everything else works. The truck runs good. Tires have little to no wear. A/C and 4x4 works fine. It also has a sticker under the hood showing that the A/C was converted. It comes with the full set of factory manuals and a new set of wires (they are overdue for replacement). Brakes are good. I did just have to replace the water pump as it was dripping a little antifreeze.
This truck is very, very nice. It is show worthy in my opinion. If you’re in the market for an OBS and want one of the very best examples available - have a look at this one. I will make myself available for the duration of the auction for anyone to come and see. Let me know if you want any close up pictures of anything or a video.
