1965 Bel Air station wagon project needs to be finished currently painted with hardened rustoleum just to protect it from winter. The car was originally white with a light turquoise interior, with dark aqua dashboard and carpet. The car come with a gallon paint kit with the original turquoise paint to paint the interior parts and trunk. I stop here in case someone wants to change the interior color.
The wagon runs, and drives, and the brakes work. This will allow you to drive the project while you're working on it.
I have all glass, new door seals (uninstalled), new keys locks ignition switch.
But as you can see interior needs to be gone through obviously. Comes with extra front seat, stock back seats.
Comes with an extra hood, four extra sedan doors for hardware as needed. And many extra parts.
I believe the mileage to be original.
The drivetrain is a 1980s 350 masquerading as a 327. The original four jet 4 barrel carberator works well but needs attention, or replace. The original single point ignition is present and works well. Comes with a good old powerglide (that still shifts solid), and 12 bolt rear end.
Also comes with new ball joints, and tubular A arms, that are ready to be installed.
The car is far from perfect but a good place to start.
The rust repair under the new windshield has been done with a section taken out of another car and welded in. The floors have small patch panels that were welded in, and then covered with fiberglass to produce a nice solid floor.
I only found two small spots of rust should l be dealt with when you resume the body an paint work.
Complete chassis is rust-free and solid.
The fuel tank looks brand new in side, and has been cleaned painted and reinstalled.
The car spent most of its life in the San Jose California area, and spend its latter years in the Medford / Grants Pass area of Oregon where I found it. This car was in our family from 1968 to 1989 when we sold it to a man moving to Grants Pass Oregon. We found it in intact but rough condition. We had a local body shop in Medford Oregon that took the car apart started repairing it, then went out of business after stealing the hood and many of parts. Hence the projects at hand. I would like to find a good forever home her.
