1970 Camaro SS396 L34 - 1 of 1864 produced. This could possibly be the First 2nd gen Big Block Produced with a production date of 01A (first week of 2nd gen production- January 1970) #590 off Norwood line.
Born with drivetrain! VIN on block and Muncie case. See picture by previous owner describing correct date codes and casting of: block, heads (1 replaced with correct date code, original comes with), intake, carburetor, distributor, starter, water pump, 12 bolt rear, alternator, exhaust manifolds, fuel pump (off car come with), radiator, TCS and fan shroud (description numbers in pic may contain typos, buyer to confirm).
Motor and 4 speed professionally rebuilt by TLC Restoration in Wisconsin, approximately 2000 miles since rebuild. Rearend is COV - 3.31.
Has a 69 Camaro dome light and cigarette lighter, believed to be installed by factory b/c of first week production. Coded 67 - Classic Copper, resprayed base/clear 3 years ago.
Original solid frame rails, floor pans and trunk pan. Minor repairs to floor pan underneath rear seats. Missing jack, spare tire and rear speaker.
All new brakes, ACDelco shocks, brake and fuel lines. Replaced fuel tank but original 1 year only tank comes with. Rims are not original.
Copy of titles from 1977 showing 4 owner names - Ohio, New York, Florida along with a 1986 Ohio Registration.
Behind rear seat factory yellow writing “D Sad” representing dark saddle interior and “BRZ” on firewall believed to represent “bronze” for Classic Copper, both preserved in place. Carpet replaced with correct orange color (orange threads found under kick plates).
