1954 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Additional Info:

This is a 1954 Chevy Bel Air with the factory Power Steering option. I suspect the original dealer added custom electric seats and windows because it has these features and they are period correct. It has a rebuilt engine with dual carb that's never been turned over. Comes with a power glide transmission that was supposed to be rebuilt but I have no way of confirming. The speedometer reads 60,900 miles and I have every reason to believe this is the actual miles. Metal is strait with no rust issues. Car was lowered with top-of-the-line parts. It must have been stored indoors most of its life before I took ownership. When I took it down to bare metal it was rust free. There was some rust in the passenger side floorplan, and I replaced the pan. No other panels needed to be replaced. No hidden rust cancer with this car. No thick bondo areas. The pictures show the condition of the metal. I've had this car for about 20 years, and it's always been garaged. It's been lowered in the front with Fat Man Fabrications drop hangers and lowered in the back with lowering springs. These are actual lowering springs and not leaf springs with one or two leaves removed. I think it's a 4" drop in the back and a 3" drop in the front. As low as you can go without air bags and still have good ride quality. I bought the car with the original engine and discovered a small crack. I bought a doner engine that was correct year and vehicle and had it rebuilt at Highlands East Automotive Machine Shop in Renton WA. Doner engine had hydraulic lifters. I have all paperwork. I added dual exhaust and dual intake. The dual Carter carbs are for a 216 with the base modified to fit a 235 dual intake. Using 216's for dual carb is the recommended choice for dual carb setups. Over 4.5K invested into the engine alone. Engine has never been turned over following rebuild. Comes with brand new fuel pump, new flamethrower coil, and new PerTronix Ignitor Electronic Ignition Conversion Kit. It has the original power steering as well as a second power steering unit that is complete minus the engine pullies that goes with the car. Converted to 12 volt. This car comes with 2-3 bins of extra parts. Many are OEM and in original boxes. Whitewall tires are radial and have never been driven. Some history on the body and paint. When I got the car, I used a stripper and a hand sander and took it down to bare metal. I then body worked the car until it was nearly perfect so that all I had to do was use a paper-thin coat of body filler. It was probably 80 hours of body work. I removed the front and rear windshield, which I later replaced. I then had a professional painter paint the car in my garage using two stage paint. I used the highest qualify paint and kept original paint cans in case anyone later wants to paint match. We built a clean room with air circulation that we used to paint the car. I l painted interior with POR 15 paint. Most of the chassis has been sanded and painted. Dnyomat installed throughout the interior and new carpet kit. The interior is rat rod and will need to be done with a new headliner. No missing trim. The car was never outside after being painted but there are a few visible scratches in the paint from stuff bumping into it in the garage. I never rebuilt the brakes, so they'll need a rebuild. I would consider the paint driver quality.
