Title in Hand – Clean 1962 Impala Big Block – Turn-Key Muscle
Up for sale is my beautiful 1962 Chevy Impala. This car blends classic styling with a strong performance presence. Its been tastefully lowered for a muscular stance, sitting on staggered wheels18x8 up front and 20x10 in the rear.
Under the hood sits a powerful 496 Big Block engine mated to a 700R4 overdrive transmission, delivering a classic aggressive sound through dual side-pipe exhausts (Short video/audio clip available in the listing). This Impala also features:
4-wheel slotted disc brakes
A/C
Aluminum radiator with dual electric fans
POSI rear end
Tilt steering wheel with an Ididit column
Holley Street Avenger 870 CFM 4-Barrel Carburetor 0-80870
Clean red interior
Original straight stainless trim
Tuxedo black paint in solid condition
I’d rate the paint and trim as a 5 to 10-footer, not a show car, but nice.
$3,500+ spent on recent updates
- Replaced all 4 tires (245's in front and 275's in back).
- Flushed the brake lines and changed the engine and transmission fluids
- Fixed sticking headlight switch and fuses and replaced 2 taillight bulbs
- Fixed a drooping interior door handle
- Replaced 1 stripped wheel lug
- Replaced 2 front vent window glass that were yellowing
- Fixed the door locking mechanism on both doors by replacing broken clips/rods.
- Vastly improved the braking system by switching to an electric vacuum pump w/ vacuum reservoir cannister. With the new setup, we now have 20” of vacuum being stored up in the vacuum reservoir tank. Previously only had 6” of vacuum.
- Upgraded battery to an Interstate 800 CCA MTP-78
- Replaced Alternator with a larger higher capacity unit
My original plan was to convert her to EFI, but I recently picked up a 65 Vette for an LS swap, so with much regret I have decided to part ways with the Impala. If you meet my asking price, Ill include a brand-new Fitech GO EFI 30002 kit as part of the deal. This Impala was intended to be a permanent part of my collection; but unfortunately, I've run out of room and need to make some tough choices.
