This is a very original 3 owner motorhome that’s spent all of its life in Montana and undercover. Very very clean and reliable.
Vehicle Details
Here is my 1969 Chevy Reddale motorhome.
I’ve had this one for 5 years now. It’s always indoors in a heated shop when not in use.
It’s got just over 56k miles on it.
The people I purchased it from had owned it since 2000. They bought it from the folks that bought it new.
The engine is now completely rebuilt, has not quite 600 miles on it. New clutch, carb rebuilt, new Petronix electronic small cap distributor, new coil, AC plugs and wires replaced also.
Newer battery, all oils changed.
2 years ago it got 7 new BF Goodrich All terrains, it still had split rims on it, now has 1973 and newer one piece wheels.
I’ve never mounted the spare tire as I don’t have a wheel for it.
New brake shoes and wheel cylinders, shocks, brake hoses, wheel bearings and seals.
Full new aluminized exhaust front to rear with turbo mufflers and a pulse chamber. She always starts beautifully and runs down the road like a new one.
I serviced the water heater, furnace etc. back when I bought it. New thermocouples, blow off valves.
If you don’t like attention, this is not for you. This thing attracts more of a crowd than any of my other classics.
The cab and front clip are 100% rust free and are original paint. No it’s not clear coated, just buffed and waxed.
It’s got an old 8 track player in it that works great, heat and defrost, wipers, all lights work.
It has a very loud horn.
I replaced the old 1969 mattress with a new pillow top house mattress. Much better.
Clear title in my name.
I’m about 60 miles outside of the Cooke city entrance to Yellowstone park.
Make a trip out of it.
The inside is extremely clean, the only water damage is at the very back of the camper under the back window. Nothing bad, it’s just discolored the wood a bit. Other than that, it’s insanely clean and has obviously spent its life undercover.
She could use new certains. Never have gotten to that.
It has a hitch on the back with a new 2 5/16” ball, I went through and got the trailer lights all working correctly. I’ve pulled my 20’ aluminum trailer with a new Polaris General 1000 4 seater on it.
It’s not going to pull a hill at 90, but gets you were you wanna go.
This has no AC, no power steering, drum brakes, 4 speed, no tilt. If you are wanting a modern boring camper, go buy one of those. This is old school. These are hard to come by where they’ve been taken care of.
