1966 Chevrolet Chevelle Additional Info:

This is one of the most amazing very rare 1966 Chevelle SS's that you will find. It came from the factory set up to race. 375 hp was the highest horsepower available on this one of approximately 3,100 Chevelles optioned with this engine built in 1966. Dennis Anderson (a very well known builder in the state of Utah) performed afullrotisserie restoration. He was extremely meticulous about making sure that this already very solid car was brought back to the exact way it was ordered, hen it was sitting on the showroom floor in 1966.

Dennis purchased the car to restore, ue to the overall condition and documentation the seller had retained. Theoriginal ownerhad the engineblock deckedseveral years ago, nd during the process the machine shop failed to re-stamp the deck with the vin numbers. However,

since all the casting numbers and codes are correct on everything else, e felt as I, fter viewing all the documents and photos, hat the engine is true to the car. I have been told there is a process to identifythe numbers that the authorities use, ut this would require partial disassembly of the intake and heads, nd then re-stamp the block. Personally I would rather know the truth, han find out later the block was re-stamped. Having no leaks and running as good as it does, decided to let it rest as is. Dennisalso went through and completely rebuilt the transmission, ear end, nd engine, hich included forged aluminum high compression pistons, skenderian cam & Comp rocker arms,

4 bolt mains and forged steel crankshaft.

The most amazing thing about this car is that it has all it's original sheet metal, loor pans, nd trunk pan. Also, he 375 hp 396 is the only version that came with the aluminum intake manifold with rectangular ports along with rectangular port exhaust manifolds.

This 1966 Chevelle SS was spared no expense. A comprehensive binder of receipts was kept as part of the support documentation along with the 135 page photo album. Dennis did everything that he could to make this SS one of the most amazing, ne of a kind, hat has been restored.

I strongly recommendthe possible buyer or anexperienced professional perform an inspection of this car to validate and appreciate the high level of quality workmanship and extreme attention to detail. It has been professionally appraised for $79,000. Specific photos, ocuments, nd questions answered upon request. Richard Krause 623-261-1023
