This truck is a beautiful piece of automotive history. It was purchased from Pine Island Auto Co. in Minnesota on April 11th, 1968. The man who purchased it then drove it back to his home in Butte, Montana and the truck appears to have stayed in Montana ever since. I don't know how many owners this car has had, but from the repair receipts and documents, I guess that I am the 3rd or 4th owner. The 5-digit odometer reads 28k, however it is clear from the repair logs that this truck has at least 228,000 miles, since the last recorded milage from the original owner was at 183,165 in November of ’96.
For being 48 years old, this truck runs great. Remember that this is an old truck with old truck problems, so don’t buy this truck without expecting some upkeep costs. By no means is this truck in show condition; there are a few chips in the paint, a crack in the windshield, worn upholstery, and rust in the bed. The paint is original and for the most part is looking real good most places. One of the previous owners was a hunter and an amateur mechanic and installed a few extras such as a second pair of headlights on the front, a utility bumper, a trailer hitch, two spotlights (one of which doesn’t work), trailer side mirrors, and some other electrical circuits and switches that I’m not entirely sure of their purpose. The truck has been installed with a three point seatbelt.
I have all receipts of repairs during my 5 year ownership, as well as a clean title and even the original owners manual and accompanying documents. Here is an album of all the pictures I took imgur.com/a/BaBDK. Please contact me if you need any questions answered about the truck. Best of luck bidding.
