Up for sale we have a 1955 Chevy Bel Air 2 Door Post. This '55 has under gone a full frame off restoration with many upgrades about 6 years ago. When you look at the pics you will see the painted floors, leather interior, and the multiple driver options. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and heartbeat of the Chevy, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don't have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, that's how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us for more information, pictures, or any questions call our office at (865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website.
We will start off with the exterior of the Bel Air. The body was set off the frame and stripped to the metal with many hours spent blocking and sanding to ensure a laser straight body. Everything, including the floors, is painted in the Rally Red paint. It has been buffed and polished to a deep rich shine with the door jams and inside the trunk being very nice. As this car was put together new tinted glass was installed with new seals. Also, all the weather stripping was replaced. The stainless down the sides and around the glass was also replaced along with the grill. You'll notice the bumpers and other chrome are in great condition as well. To finish off the look it's sitting on a set of 18" and 20" Billet Specialties' with new tires.
Next, we will look at the interior of the '55. On the inside it's done in Off White Cream Leather with Tan carpet that compliments the exterior perfectly. The seat covers and door panels are done in Leather with the door panels being custom and having Billet Aluminum handles. The door and window trim is chrome and in great condition. Looking at the dash it's painted body color with the upgraded electric gauges. It has a Chrome Column with Tilt and a Banjo Wheel. The A/C vents are under the dash to keep it clean.
Finally, we will take a look at the heartbeat of the Chevy. Under the hood the inner fenders and radiator support have all been painted. Its powered by a 350 V8 that's dressed with Polishing Aluminum Intake, Valve Covers, and Breather. The brackets are all Billet Aluminum and it has a polished Aluminum AC Compressor. You'll also see that the Brake Booster, Master Cylinder, and Alternator are Chrome. To keep it cool it has an Aluminum Radiator. The exhaust flows through Shorty Headers with Dual Exhaust. The trans is a 350 Turbo that's mated to a 10 Bolt Rear End. For brakes it has Disc on all Four Corners and they are Power. The Steering has been upgraded to a Power Rack and Pinon set up. As we said this is a frame off car and you can really see the detail and quality of workmanship when you look under it. The floors and frame are painted with new bushings front to back, and it had a new fuel tank installed along with new lines.
