Vehicle Details
You are bidding on a 1988 Chevrolet Suburban V10 5.7l V8. The truck runs and drives great. She has 3/4 ton steering versus the 1/2 ton-all of which was recently replaced with Moog steering components. It has front and rear a/c-both of which blow cold (A/C Compressor was replaced last summer). It's been my daily driver for quite a while now. It's very dependable and I've had little to no issues. Both front and rear differentials have been service within the last year as well as the transfer case. Tires are in good shape. It's ready to drive. The passenger side rear quarter will need some rust repair if looking to retore or paint the vehicle. The drivers side only has one portion that needs repaired. Other than that, she has a few small dents here and there-nothing really abnormal for the age. At just over 85k-the engine was replaced with a GM Target motor-the manufactures sticker is still on the side of the oil pan. If you plan on purchasing this vehicle, you can forgo the shipping if you prefer to drive it. I can jump in it and have confidence to drive it anywhere. A few things it needs besides body and cosmetic work would be the factory radio does not work. I couldn't bring myself to cut the dash and install a modern one. The front blower motor does squeak at times. The fuel gauge needs a new bulb behind it for illumination purposes. And, the HVAC blows strong out of defrost and the floor. The vents in the front just trickle air. Overall, it would be a great candidate for restoration. Please feel free to ask any questions. Also, the vehicle is for sale locally. So, the auction could end if locally purchased.
