If you want to spend years making your Hot Rod looking for parts and you enjoy searching high and low for all the trim pieces to make the car complete, then don't buy this car. This 1958 Chevrolet Biscayne has been stored inside out of the weather since 1973 and it has all of the original trim pieces still on it with the exception of the front passenger fender which those trim pieces are also included.
If you enjoy the process of removing old rusty and heavy engines & transmissions and smashing your fingers and getting filthy in the process, then don't buy this car. The old straight 6 motor and 3 spd manual transmission have already been removed from the car and the engine compartment is ready for some light sanding & painting before you drop that LS motor in.
If you enjoy the process of removing old carpet and the interiors from cars and you don't mind the smell of years of mice poop & urine inside of the car, then don't buy this car. All of those interior pieces have already been removed and the mice smell if there ever was one, is gone.
If you enjoy spending hundreds of hours trying to smooth out old dents and fix huge rust holes in the car body, then don't buy this car. While this car is not perfect of course, as you can see from the pictures it is pretty solid and straight. So much less body work will need to be done on this car to get it ready for paint than many others that are on the market.
If you enjoy the thrill of hitting the brakes and wondering if you are going to be able to stop in time, then don't buy this car. This 58 has already been updated to front disc brakes, so stopping in time in the future will not be an issue.
What we have here is a car that can actually be bought, repaired and put back on the road in without breaking the bank in money and time. With this car having mostly original paint, it would be a perfect rat rod, where after you repaired the front passenger fender, the car could be cleared and then you would be ready to move on to the interior and drivetrain.
If you want to enjoy late night cruises soon and hear the exhaust rumbling, with people giving you thumbs up as you drive by, and see your wife sitting next to you on the bench seat just like she did back in high school, then this is the car for you. It's time to just stop dreaming about getting that Hot Rod and take action to make that dream happen !
With the purchase of the car, you will get the original title from when the car was first stored back in 1973. In addition, patch panels for the trunk and floorboards are included to go back to that original look. Also a new gas tank with the needed support straps that go under the trunk have already been purchased and are included. If you have any questions regarding the car, just let me know.
