1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS Additional Info:
This project started as a quick repaint and drive the car, ut turned into a complete restoration. The car was completely stripped down including the motor and tranny and sent out for soda blasting. Any body panels with corrosion were cut out and replaced. When the bodywork was complete, replaced all the front end parts, replaced the clutch, ut back together and I drove it for a year. The following winter I had a mechanic check the engine to fine tune it and it was determined that a rebuild would be advisable. The motor was completely rebuilt (the equivalent of balanced and blueprinted). An extensive rebuild, have all the receipts. The shop told me this is the original engine/heads/transmission that the car was built with. I will leave it to the buyer to verify this. I have the block stamp numbers. The following summer I had the interior done including the headliner, rug, door panels and seat cover including new foam. The next winter I replaced the rear springs and bushings and replaced the gas tank while I was in there. Last summer I took the transmission out to be overhauled. There is still a slight noise in 2nd gear. I had an oversized custom made radiator put in with an electric fan.
