Up for sale is my mostly original California 1972 Chevy Monte Carlo - 350 V8 270 HP, AT, PS, PDB, AC, vinyl top (green) and original blue/yellow plates. I am a collector and have many cars that are mostly original California cars. I have decided to sell some of my collection and transition down to a manageable number of vehicles that I can drive on regular basis. This car can be a daily driver. Runs fantastic, brakes work as they should, transmission shifts good, tight suspension, runs cool, no leaks. Odometer shows 52,027, meaning the car likely has 152,027 miles on her. This is an honest transportation car that was used for regular commuting, but was well taken care of. All of the cars fluids were just serviced and its ready to go.
The original Gulf Green paint has been reapplied at some point years ago and has seen better days. It is not factory paint. It also shows the years of garage bumps and shopping center scratches. The driver side rear taillight area has begun to loose paint & slight damage on passenger quarter panel (see pictures). The interior is clean, but worn on the arm rests and driver head rest. Dash pad not cracked and in good condition. AC blows strong but only cool, not cold. Looks to be changed over from R12 to R134. The horn does not currently work. There is nothing to do to this car mechanically. To take it from a nice driver to a great driver the horn would have be repaired, along with the heater core, and AC service. No real need for a heater in California. The vinyl top and tires are in great shape.Currently registered, California smog exempt, clean title.
