1972 Chevrolet Nova SS Yenko S/C Tribute 350 V8 Automatic

Up for auction we offer a good running/driving classic 1972 Chevrolet Nova 2 door coupe. This Nova received a mild restoration several years ago and carries a clean CA title - with current registration. This is not a true SS or Yenko, just a replica.

BODY:

This Nova has a 2-stage base/clear Garnet Red paint job with a Yenko S/C vinyl decal kit installed. Paint still has a nice shine, but the previous owner daily drove and stored the car outside so it does have chips, scratches and blemishes. An SS exterior trim package and replacement front windshield were added to the Nova at the time of paint. The remaining exterior trim is original to the car. Wheels are original equipment GM 14x6" stock steelies painted to match the body with factory GM stainless steel poverty dog dish hubcaps. Tires arebrand new RWL Mastercraft Avenger GT size 225/70/14.Undercarriage is in decent shape some minor rust that was fiber glassed over many years ago. All exterior lighting (new headlight switch installed), turn signals and brake lights all function properly.

ENGINE/TRANS:

The engine is a Chevy small block 350 replaced at the time of restoration. Cannot verify the mileage, but it runs well with no major issues. Replacement parts installed at time of engineswap include: Edelbrock Performer Carburetor, Offenhauser 4V aluminum intake manifold, fuel pump, water pump, alternator, starter, matching black steel dress up kit (valve covers and air cleaner), HEI distributor, 8mm spark plug wires. This Nova sounds great with a full length exhaust kit including Hooker headers running into 2-1/4" aluminized piping, 40 Series Flowmaster mufflers and tailpipes. Transmission is a Turbo 350 three speed automatic with an aftermarket B&M floor shifter. Transmission shifts nicely throughall the gears.

INTERIOR:

The interior is bucket seats with rear bench re-upholstered in a two-tone black vinyl with red cloth inserts. A brand new black correct loop style carpet and brand new black tier grain headliner were installed to replace the hideous bright red cut pile carpet and diamond tuck headliner that was previously installed. Windshield wipers, gauges, turn signals, horn and dash illumination all work properly. Original heater was disconnected by a previous owner and does not currently function. All windows roll up and down properly. Factory non-A/C car.

BRAKES/SUSPENSION:

This Nova has the stronger 8.5" GM 10 bolt rear end. Brakes are manual drum, with a new master cylinder, new brake hoses and replacement shoes front and rear. Parking brake is in working order. Suspension is in good shape, coil springs with new standard shocks up front and leaf springs with coil over shocks in the rear. Suspension also has a set of old school rear traction bars installed. This is a factory manual steering car, no power assist. Trunk is clean with the original style spatter paint finish. Battery has also been re-located to the trunk.
