Vehicle Original VIN : 194377S107791This 1967 Chevrolet Corvette keeps the iconic C2 silhouette, but there's something in the stance that tells you it's quite different. Underneath the golden stinger dome of the hood is a unique tri-power setup, and it works with the custom sports suspension and a five-speed to deliver an awesome driver's Sting Ray. Plus, the luxury leather interior with A/C comfort means this is a powerful coupe that also knows how to indulge. This Sting Ray gives very few hints at the modified car that lies beneath the surface. Instead, it just looks like a nicely restored 'Vette. This satisfying appearance starts with a professional application of black paint. It has a super-smooth shine that comes from a low mileage build completed only about 1500 miles ago, and it lets the sunlight highlight the crisp lines of this well-done body. Plus, the dark paint is a nice backdrop for the classic bright elements like the grille, window trim, and iconic wraparound dual chrome bumpers - both front and rear. And the side pipes have a clean and classic look that signals this is a powerful machine. And while the stinger hood is a hallmark of the best C2s, it looks quite distinct in gold. And this goes with the 17-inch Foose alloys to help disguise this restomod level upgrades as just a fashionable coordination. The interior is also about appearing original with subtle upgrades. It starts with the color package. The trim tag tells us this was born a saddle tan interior, and we're glad they kept the color because it looks sophisticated against the deep black exterior. But you can also see there was a solid investment to keep the carpeting, door panels, and double-hump dash looking terrific. And we especially love how the upholstery is now done in fresh leather. And the luxury continues with features like power windows, a retro-style AM/FM radio, and cold-blowing air conditioning. It's also a better driver's car where the classic-style wood-rimmed steering wheel is now on a tilt column, and the luminescent gauges are updated Classic Instruments units. And have you counted the gears on the shifter yet? The engine bay has a shining show-worthy style, and that's a good thing because you'll be spending plenty of time with the hood up and pointing out the unique setup. There were a handful of big block C2s with a triple set of dual-barrel carbs on top. This one pays tribute to that with a Tri-Power setup under the triangle air grabber, but it does it in a unique way. Everything sits on top of a 350 cubic-inch V8 done by the masters at BluePrint Engines. So you have a small block weight but with the kind of power that can likely rival the classic 427s. It's a fully-built package with aluminum heads, an MSD ignition, polished pulleys, an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans, a Milodon oil pan, and a nice set of headers. It's a terrific power package that even gives you a unique way to enjoy the soundtrack. We see plenty of Sting Rays with awesome rumbling side pipes, but what's unique here is that those are run off electric cutoffs so that you can also choose to be a little more stealthy if you're leaving the neighborhood at dawn. While you're checking out the unique exhaust underneath, don't forget to check out all the other investments that make this an awesome driver. The front end is now done with Ridetech StrongArms tubular A-arms and adjustable coilovers, and the independent rear is an upgraded setup that includes Ridetech adjustable coilovers. There's also Detroit Speed power steering, Baer four-wheel power disc brakes, a Silver Sport Transmissions driveshaft, and the firm control of a Tremec TKO five-speed. Powerful and striking custom Corvettes are a fun topic at the car show, and this one has the style and substance to immediately put you in the center of all the action. Call today!!!
