1974 Chevrolet Camaro Additional Info:

1974 Chevrolet Camaro Z28
Car runs and drives with plenty of power. Driven occasionally on weekends. Accelerates straight down the road, no noticeable shimmy. Power steering is quiet. Stops straight. Dual exhaust with deep rumble. Could be an exhaust leak or leaks and exhaust hangers may need adjusting. Fluids may need changing and there'sa leak but fluid levels haven't dropped so haven't figured this one out yet.
The original Z28 decals can be seen. Z28 cars should have "T" as the 5th digit on the VIN. For Norwood assembly plant cars, the cowl tag should have the Z28 stamp. This car has both. In addition, the dashboard, interior vinyl, carpet, and exterior paint all appear correctly color coded per the cowl tag and original, although the condition is as shown in pictures.
This Z28 is fun to drive and has a strong running 350 and automatic transmission. The previous owner replaced the engine with an early 70s motor that has a casting block 3970010 and engine code CNV. But the valve covers and intake manifold appear to be original because the Z28 valve covers have raised fins and the manifold intake has "W" snowflake (Winters foundry casting). The transmission shifts smoothly but the shifter or something may need adjustment to sometimes find reverse.
The headlights, running lights, interior dome, and dash lights work. Horn works. Never tried the A/C or heat, so can't confirm. Tach works and other gauges do not. Wipers work. No radio. Currently tagged, titled, and insured. Previous owner registration dating back to 1984. Interior condition as shown in pics. In addition, steering wheel and dash feel sticky, maybe from sitting so long.
Body is as shown. High quality passenger reproduction fender included. Frame rails look solid, see pics.
Selling as-is. Good for a car enthusiast or collector as these cars are rare and can be expensive once restored. Alternatively, could be great for someone who wants to simply enjoy it for what it is.
