This black 1954 5-Window Chevrolet 3100 Half-ton pickup is an older restoration and was mostly restored to its original configuration only to have the 12 volt upgrade, and the additions of the hood ornament and exterior OEM sun visor. The engine is a straight six, 235 ci displacement with “three in a tree” manual transmission. The previous owner, before the current owner, stated that this was once a Mecum sale (about 2014). This vehicle is Michigan titled and was previously titled in Indiana with the same VIN number. Starts up easy with manual choke (when needed) and runs well. Solid metal throughout and no rust except for some very minor surface rust underneath. The sale also includes an uninstalled heater – it is not known if all the heater parts are complete, original or functional. All the glass is good except for a corner crack on the passenger window. All exterior lights are functional. All five tires are Coke brand – the front tires have worn tread while the treads on the rears and spare are excellent. This truck makes for a great parade truck or weekend driver and turns heads wherever it goes. It would be a great candidate for a V-8 upgrade with modern suspension and brakes or keep it as is.
The truck can be seen locally in East Lansing, MI.
