I bought this survivor 1949 Chevy truck from a estate sale. I brought it home and had my mechanic who works on old trucks get it running. The 216 engine runs great and starts right up. The lights are all working. The brakes stop the truck well but they are a bit spongy and you have to pump the brake pedal a bit. The clutch shifted all gears when I drove it for the video and around 2 miles on the back country roads, but the mechanic said it was wearing down a bit/surface rusty etc and should be replaced or reworked. The gauges are working. The tires are servicable but not new. I left the truck the way I got it as I like the original patina look. The body has its spots of rust, scratches, faded paint etc. Definitely a solid truck overall. The underside looks good. The floors are solid. The glass is good all around the truck and the windows roll up and down easy. Its best to look at the pics, and watch the video to see what it is and message or call me with any questions. While not a restored truck, this is a solid and great running truck you can start playing with right away as you take it to whatever level you want. Perfect canidate to resto mod it but keep the great patina or upgrade it a bit to make it a original daily driver.
