1965 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Convertible RestoRod Additional Info:

Beautiful 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu convertible in its original Regal Red color but in a 2-stage urethane. The Malibu was built in the Kansas City MO plant and came to Maryland via Texas.

Current owner purchased the car about 7 years ago with the paint, bodywork, the factory 283 c.i. engine, original top, and interior.

Since than he has gone through the entire car and added:

· Completely new interior (including carpet & upholstery)

· Rebuilt 2-speed Power Glide transmission

· New 350 c.i. 200 h.p. Chevrolet V-8 w/Edelbrock carb & intake.

· Coated exhaust manifolds

· HEI ignition

· 100-amp alternator

· Dual exhaust

· Shocks

· Front-end suspension

· Power brakes (disc front & drums rear)

· New power top including motor & boot

· Electric wiper motor

· Aftermarket gauge cluster

· New heater core

· New 14” Rally wheels

· Radiator, shroud, & fan

When the paint and bodywork were done new quarter panels, trunk floor, passenger floors, and firewall were added. The hood, fenders, and doors are original items. The only imperfection is on the passenger door (see photo).

Less than 3000 miles have been logged on the car in 7 years and only 500 miles are on the engine & transmission.

Multiple show winner, great driver, all of the factory gauges, lights, and turn signals function as normal. Please note the top DOES work but failed to be videoed.
