1987 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Additional Info:
This 1987 Chevrolet Silverado has the right mix of everything you want. After all, it's great to have one classic that balance a shining red appearance with useful features and a tall 4x4 prowess. And it's easy to enjoy the fuel-inject V8 when you sitting comfy in an A/C interior.
When a truck looks this straight and clean, you know it has come from a good home. In fact, we suspect the red paint could be the factory-applied finish. As a range-topping Silverado model, you get great features like the chrome bumpers (with a handy wide step in the rear,) bright trim, a hood ornament, and a full pinstripe package that runs down the sides and wraps round the rear. Plus, there are some nice pieces that add style and function, like the bed liner, tubular side steps, and a nice set of Baja-style wheels that show off the lifted 4x4 stance.
There's more terrific red inside. The comfy velour seats, plush carpeting, nice door panels, and smooth dash really make this a nice place to spend some time. This Silverado was loaded with options when it left the dealer back in 1987, so it makes the perfect foundation for a great ride today. You have factory features like power windows, power locks, cruise control, dual fuel tanks, and a tilt steering column. The radio has been discretely upgraded to a retro-style AM/FM digital tuner w/cassette. And while the sliding rear window is ideal for old-school truck breezes, the factory air conditioning is also blowing cold from modern R134a refrigerant.
What makes the 1987 Chevy truck models so special is that it was the last year for its classic bodylines, but the first year you could get fuel injection. This gives the truck's numbers-matching 305 cubic inch V8 a real useful advantage among other vintage trucks. It remains a true rugged machine with a two-speed 4x4 transfer case and deep treads in the BF Goodrich Mud Terrain T/A tires. The TH400 three-speed automatic transmission is good for both its stout construction and smooth shifting. And there's more all-around driving appeal with the power steering, power brakes, and front discs.
This is the straight, clean, and capable fuel-injected classic 4x4 you've been waiting for. So don't let it slip away, call today!
