This is an "Absolutely Gorgeous" 68 Chevelle SS 396, 4 speed, 138 VIN that has had a recent restoration, done in a "Show Quality" Gun Metal Blue base coat clear coat, sanded and wheeled smooth, slick as glass, new weather stripping and window felts, new door handles, new correct bow tie side view mirrors, new hood louvers, new tinted windshield; all other glass is original in very good condition, all stainless window trim is in excellent condition, new emblems, new 396 side marker bezels, original grill in excellent condition; as well as grill moldings, new tail light bezels and tail panel moldings, re-chromed front and rear bumpers, new wheel well moldings.
Factory black bucket seat console interior, new dash pad, original instrument cluster with optional gauge package and roller tach - which are in working order, nicely outfitted with AM/FM/CD stereo system, Ididit tilt steering column with its original deluxe steering wheel, new head liner and visors, new front and rear door panels, new arm rest, new front and rear seat covers, deluxe front and rear seat belts, original 4 speed center console in excellent condition, Hurst competition plus 4 speed shifter, new carpet and floor mats; as well as sill plates.
Under the hood the original 396 has been replaced with an era correct 454 30 over with comp thumpr cam, aluminum intake, Holley dual feed carb with electric choke, billet aluminum Chevrolet valve covers and breather, nicely outfitted with March serpentine pulley kit, billet brackets and pulleys, chrome 100 amp 1 wire alternator, nicely outfitted with electronic ignition, heavy duty aluminum radiator with correct shroud and fan, power steering, power front disc brakes, front suspension has been gone through, this strong running 454 is back up with a Muncie M21 4 speed, Hurst competition plus shifter, factory exhaust manifolds into 2 1/2 inch dual Flowmaster exhaust out the back with correct bell tips, 12 bolt posi rear with 323 gear.
