1991 Chevrolet Camaro Additional Info:
RELISTING AFTER AN EBAY MOTORS APP GLITCH that Ebay tech guys could not fix, with their only suggestion being to cancel and relist....so here you go! This Chevrolet Camaro Z28 1LE is one of 478 1LE cars made for the 1991, nearly the last of the third generation hard top/coupe style. The 1LE option was created by GM engineers to win showroom stock racing. With the 1LE race package, the Camaro became the car to have, soon the grids were full of Camaros in the winner's circle. What did these winning 1LE cars have, like my numbers matching, 73,000 mile 5.0 Liter, 5 speed shown here? My car has the following options:-LB9 305 (heads redone with new valve seals - NO SMOKE EVER)-MK6 5-speed Borg Warner OEM (totally rebuilt) SHIFTS SMOOTH & FINE-C41 A/C delete (no air conditioning in race cars)-G80 3.42 axle ratio (now 3.23)-G80 LSD (now Eaton helical gear posi) -J65 4 wheel disc brakes-KC4 oil cooler-QLC 245-50 ZR16 (1500 mile BFG force sport comp 2)-Z28 special performance package 36mm front bar 23mm rear bar-1LE Performance package components-N10 dual catalytic exhaust (mine is custom, cat delete)-6DB/7DB special front springs (stock, including ride height)-8NN/9NN special rear springs (stock, including ride height)Other features of my car:-41U Black exterior (This car has had a repaint with original color)-AR9 Gray/Black cloth interior (no rips, tears, burns or stains)-UN6/UQ1 AM/FM radio on the build sheet (now aftermarket, NOT STOCK)JG1/N64 Aluminum driveshaft and space saver spareThis 1LE has no body damage of any kind, no undercarriage rust except the one spot shown in closeup photo (the underside of the rear tail light panel perhaps from a light tap in the rear while racing?)The suspension, rims and brake system are all original. The Clutch, brake components, struts, 3.23 gear, Eaton posi and heads were changed under my ownership (saved all of the old parts)There have never been any leaks, smoke, strange or bad odors, vibrations or wheel shimmy of any kind.I also had the obnoxious, loud air pump removed using a custom adjustable tension bracket. The engine: This numbers matching V0711CLJ engine with MSD CDI street fire ignition runs like an electric motor...it pulls hard, even in 4th gear.....amazing!To keep lightweight, the 1LE used a single engine fan with no driving lights to improve air flow to the engine. My car never ran even close to hot... all of the interior and dash components, exterior lights/signals work properly. The tachometer reads half of the engine speed.....other than that, all of the other gauges, lights and switches function properly. The power steering and alternator function properly with no leaks. There are no leaks of any kind. This 1LE also came with:manual seats, roll-up windows, manual door locks. The hard-top body style (no t tops)no rear anti-foggerno power antennano floor matsno rear compartment coverWhat isn't perfect:-A very tiny inwards ding, the size of a quarter, in the hood on the passenger side (pictured)-A crack in the driver side Dash just above steering wheel (pictured)-Top of steering wheel has sun damageThe car has never been in an accident. Clean carfax and clean title! When I bought the 1LE, it was already re-sprayed in the original black color. As she is now, the paint could be polished out a bit better. All of the glass is original and perfect. It burns no oil, leaks nothing, never smokes and wastes no oil.The car runs amazingly well, handles and brakes phenomenally well. I used to race 1/4 mile oval stock cars and I can tell you the cornering balance of the 1LE cars is spot on. IF you were to want to race, this would be your choice. The car has been a total pleasure, it will be missed...but now I move onto my low mile 1981 Corvette silver on red with automatic, so my wife can also drive it. She would never get into the 1LE so here the 1LE is....listed after 4 years of ownership....two cars had to go for the Corvette. Drive it ANYWHERE, she never let me down....and the new Eaton helical posi rear hooks up really well...this is a 1LE that you will want to drive!!You are encouraged to write with any questions or requests for more photos! Happy to oblige.Buyer must arrange shipping - or drive her home yourself - anywhere!
