1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 MUSCLE CAR Additional Info:

Up for sale is a REAL ‘X33’, Norwood built 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 in its original colors of Dusk Blue with white stripes…That is where it stops.

Current owner purchased the car in 2008 when it already had a 350 c.i. small block and 9” Ford differential. He has drastically improved on the platform as described below.

He proceeded to modify and rebuild the car to the performance and comfort level you see presented in the video and photographs today. Since the Z’s completion, approximately 10 years ago, only 6000 miles have been logged on the car.

First, a little bit about the drive line. The 350 was treated to an over bore and stroked crank so it is now at 383 c.i. The Comp Cams is a hydraulic roller, and the heads are TFS G2 items. The reciprocating internals were balanced, and the current compression ratio is about 10:1. Additionally a fully programmable Holley Ramjet fuel injection system was put in place of a carburetor and high-rise intake.

The transmission is a Richmond 6-speed manual with 62% overdrive so in high gear and at 55 mph the RPM’s are at 1800.

The 9” Ford rear was rebuilt with 31 spline axles, 4.10:1 gears and Posi-traction. Power disc brakes are on all 4 corners.

The interior was redone in vinyl and a color coordinated cloth to match the Marina Blue exterior. A Vintage Air A/C & heat unit was also installed to keep the passengers comfortable year-round. Also, a custom aluminum gauge console was fabricated by the owner to monitor the fuel flow and temperature.

The exterior was left untouched because when he purchased the car everything looked great. Unfortunately, after owning the car for a few years evidence of a bad reaction between the welding of the new quarter panels and the paint has created some blistering (see photos). There is also a spot on the right rear pan where a lawn mower met the Z/28.
