1972 Chevrolet Blazer Additional Info:
I drove it all afternoon and guess what? It was awesome! I honestly thought it was going to be a miserable, rough ride. It rode great, those big tires never rubbed. It handled like a sports car. Fast, oh my God yes. I bought it from a major car collection in Arkansas.
EXTERIOR: Rust free, excellent body repainted it's original color. I love this color on this vehicle. On a Corvette, no. This color is appropriate on a 1972 Blazer, this is how we remember them. The paint is a very smooth glossy finish. The body panels are laser straight and fit right. The grille and bumpers have been color matched. The emblems, marker lights, door handles are replaced. The hardtop does lift off and it's been restored. It's been repainted, all new rubber gaskets around the windows inside and out. The truck has a new windshield, door weather strips and window seals. The 22 inch US Mag wheels are gleaming, has performance tires.
INTERIOR: I love the interior. the white houndstooth is really sharp. The two bucket seats are very comfortable. They have new cushions and racing style seatbelts. The back seat is reupholstered to match. It even has houndstooth upholstered side panels. New door panels, armrests, cranks and handles. It is fully carpeted from the firewall to the tailgate. There is sound deadener under the carpet. It has a Lokar floor shifter. The dash area is clean. There is a nice VIP leather wrapped steering wheel, new dash pad and glovebox liner. It has a cool set of Cobalt gauges below the dash and a Cobalt tachometer on the dash. The original option sticker is on the glove box door.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: This is a firecracker of an engine. An LS2 6.0 liter making 600 hp! It has a Novi 1200 Paxton supercharger. It also has an air to water Vortec intercooler and a Vibrant performance air intake. The polished tubes look nice. The motor has aluminum heads, headers and serpentine belt system. An aluminum radiator with two big electric fans keeps it cool. Bottom of the hood is painted real nice new battery. It has power steering.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The tailgate is upholstered in new white houndstooth, great for tailgating.
UNDERSIDE: The front end was gone through- ball joints, H.D. swaybar etc. Obviously it's been lowered, it has custom springs and shocks front and back. It has a stabilizer bar in back. The Flowmaster exhaust system is neatly installed. It has disc brakes in front, e-brake cables are hooked up. The metal under this truck is super dry. The floors are smooth as a chalk board.
Of all the cars I drove this past summer this is definitely one of my favorites. It was quick, handled and rode great. Easy to drive and scary fast if you want it to be. I love the look too.
