1972 Chevrolet C-10 Additional Info:
The body was off the frame during restoration. This is a great looking truck that is easy to drive.
EXTERIOR: Great looking short bed stepside C-10. South Dakota body, the restorer says there's no rust or Bondo. All clean metal, it is straight and fits real nice. The gaps are square and flush. The doors shut like new. The glass is crystal clear, new windshield. Upgraded sliding rear window. All new weather strips and gaskets- around the doors, windows, vent windows, gas cap, door handles etc. Up front the grill has been repainted, bumper is shiny. New mirrors, and door handles. In back the bumper, taillights and reverse lights look new. The rally wheels were powder coated, have new trim and BFGoodrich tires.
INTERIOR: It's completely restored and might I say very comfortable. The inside of the cab was completely painted a smooth, glossy gray finish. Up above it has new visors, brackets and mirror. In front of me the dash pad is new, instrument bezel and lenses are excellent. The heater controls work, new glove box liner. It has a retro stereo in the factory hole. New vintage style cushioned grip wheel on a tilt column. On the floor the carpet and seat belts are new. Very comfortable bucket seats with armrest, also a very big and useful center console. New door panels.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Great running 307 motor with 4 barrel carb. Stock manifolds. Painted real nice, new chrome valve covers and air cleaner. Upgraded HEI ignition with fat plug wires. New power brake booster, master and junction block. It has power steering. The radiator, shroud, fan and hoses are all excellent. Everything is tidy and proper, the squirters are even hooked up. The metal surfaces are clean and painted smooth. New inner fenders.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: lnside the box is in pristine condition. The side metal is straight, no damage and has a high gloss paint finish. All stainless steel hardware. The floor has refinished wood slats with stainless steel hardware. The tailgate has a real set pair of custom latch mechanisms.
UNDERSIDE: The chassis was separate from the body. It was prepped and painted then reunited with new body bushings. The floors were prepped and painted too. The front end was gone through. Shocks were replaced. Bottom of the motor is spotless, starter looks new. The Turbo 350 automatic has chrome pan. It was recently serviced- new fluid and filter. The brakes were recently redone, has disc in front. New dual exhaust with cross over pipe, stainless glass pack style mufflers and stainless tips.
Great looking shortbed that is restored exceptionally well and makes a great driver!
