1950 Chevrolet Other Pickups Additional Info:
Built by the Chevrolet plant in Kansas City in March of 1950; This is a great starting point for a full rotisserie restoration. Click the link for over 100 super high-resolution photos taken at Generations Garage in San Antonio. This truck has a very solid body, 100% original stock motor, seats, everything... We do have all 4 original split rim wheels (2 fronts, 1 on the spare bracket, 1 in the bed). I recommend keeping this one 100% original. So few are left, and everyone wants to modify them. But, this one is still completely unmolested. Great patina thanks to years of life sitting in the Back 40 on a 68 acre New Braunfels, Texas farm. This is a great project truck. Manual transmission, straight 6, 3/4 ton long bed. Rust is superficial on 95% of the truck. If you know what you are looking at, you know this is a great starting point. No noticeable dents. The body is very, very straight. You will save thousands in bodywork.Disclosures: 1. The motor is seized up. It may be broken free with a rust penetrator, but, we tried to break it free for about 5 minutes without any luck.2. The bed frame is rusted through on multiple brackets. Simple repair...3. Small rust through spots on the floorboards (most can be spot welded up). Will not require replacement.4. No Title. Bill of Sale only.5. I would keep it, however, I have an all original Ford F600 and F100 plus a modified F100. I'm a Ford guy, but, I love this truck. Unfortunately, I need money to move my other projects along, as they have been sitting too long.6. This is a project truck. It will need complete restoration. It does not run or drive. Shipping: The buyer is responsible for the cost of shipping: I will happily help you secure shipping if you need someone to meet the driver. The seller can deliver truck for a fee:I am not a professional driver, but, I do plan on picking up my Ford F600 that is currently being worked on in Portland Oregon. I live in San Antonio, Texas. If you wish, I will take it to your home as long as it is along the way or not too far off. I will charge $1.00 per mile 500-mile minimum. $0.75 per mile 501-1,000 miles. $0.65 per mile after 1,000 miles. I reserve the right to pass on shipping if your destination is too far off route... Let's talk about this after you win the auction.I have over 100 more photos. I can not send a link but if you want them, let me know how to send them to you.
