A few extra cubic inches never did anyone harm, right? This El Camino has the now iconic 396 under the hood, and is a perfect combination of car and truck - a "ute" as the Aussies like to call them. If you have room for one classic vehicle, and can't decide if you want a car or truck, this awesome El Camino is a vehicle to consider. There's a good amount of room in the bed, the interior is nicely finished, and the 396 under the hood is grin inducing when you put your foot down.
This El Camino is now finished in Marina Blue. It's an eye catching color, and a color also offered on Chevrolet's higher performance cars like the Corvette and Chevelle SS. With such an attractive color, the bodywork, trim, and bumpers need to be spot on, and on this car all those boxes are ticked. A small bracket has been added in the bed to hold a pit bike - just another cool accessory on this classic. Color matched Rally wheels with chrome beauty rings and chrome hubcaps finish off the exterior look.
The interior has fresh upholstery finished in what looks to be Light Fawn with black dashboard, console, and carpet. Interior upgrades include; a modern radio with a vintage look, wood look steering wheel, auxiliary gauges, and console mounted tachometer. Other than those items, the interior has a nice, original finish.
The aforementioned 396 is nestled in a tidy engine bay, and topped with a polished air cleaner that wears that familiar '396' sticker. A Holley 4BBL carburetor, Accel plug wires and distributor, and a March polished coolant reservoir are extras under the hood. The underside is solid, and a quick look under the car reveals a HydraMatic transmission, and Flowmaster exhaust.
Get the best of both worlds with this El Camino. Part truck, part car, but as a whole an awesome vehicle. A 396 under the hood, great color combination, and classic Chevy styling make for a nice classic. Be sure to check out all the photos and video on our main website: Garage Kept Motors.
