1969 Chevrolet Corvette Restomod Additional Info:
This 1969 Chevrolet Corvette has original color, numbers matching V8, and original four-on-the-floor. But that that makes for a nice classic Stingray, it also has been given solid investments to bring it into the modern era in all the best ways - including fuel injection.
The factory-correct code-972 Polar White is a color with timeless appeal. That's especially true for this one with its quality respray that really lets it radiate in the sunshine. There were more of the right investments, including fresh chrome bumpers, a mirror-like brightwork package (right down to the door panels,) and quality rubber seals on the doors and T-tops. It's a well-done total presentation that brings out the crisp style that makes the early C3s so desirable.
The gray interior has a classic look, but the color was upgraded later in life. It gives this more modern appeal than the original green, and that sets the tone correctly for the car. There are nice factory features like power windows and the rear window comes out on these earlier C3s. Plus, the radio was upgraded to a retro-style AM/FM digital tuner with aux input so that you can get the best in modern music while still looking very vintage. And what these Stingrays do best is engage the driver. You have a high-back bucket seat, three-spoke sports steering wheel, large speedo and tach, and a full set of auxiliary readout front and center on the dash.
Under the hood is a tidy presentation of the numbers-matching 350 cubic-inch V8 motor. While the ribbed valve covers have a hint of stock style, you can also instantly recognize some nice upgrades in performance and dependability. This includes aluminum heads, an MSD coil, and an MSD distributor. It's all topped off with an Edelbrock electronic fuel injection system that you get to control with software and included handheld module. Sand speaking of control, the numbers-matching fur-speed manual transmission puts you at the center of all this car's action. It looks like there were more great investments under the car with suspension updates, including newer bushings, transverse rear leaf, and Bilstein shocks all around. It makes for a confident driver that's reinforced with the four-wheel power disc brakes, wide BF Goodrich T/As, and the fully independent suspension.
