1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Additional Info:

Now this is how you update a legendary classic. This 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS restomod pulls out all the stops with a sinister matte black paint job, a gorgeous black interior, 396 big block power, and a pro-touring stance, all designed to create one of the coolest A-body '67 Chevelles we've ever featured here at Streetside Classics. If you want to get noticed, this car is definitely going to get the job done for you.
Black isn't the kind of color you fool around with because it exposes everything about the sheetmetal beneath. If you're going to paint your car black, let alone the killer Matte Black finish on this bad boy, you start at the very earliest stages and make sure everything is worked correctly. So, when this Chevelle was stripped bare and the bodywork started, it was done right and the results speak for themselves. It was finished not long ago and looks absolutely sinister sitting there on those big shiny wheels. At a glance, you may not have even noticed that it was a Chevelle, because everything is blacked-out, but there are no body mods – nothing is chopped, shaved, frenched, or altered in any way that would take away from the spirit of this legendary car. Instead you get gloss black accents to the otherwise flat black bodywork, including shiny bumpers, mirrors, door handles, front grille, and tail panel. The result is a serious-looking car from just about any angle, and the work is so good that traffic stops when this apex predator cruises past. Panel gaps are excellent and aside from a few signs of use, it's still extremely clean. Whether it's show or go, this Chevelle is going to get noticed either way.
The interior is just as slick, anchored by a pair of black vinyl and velour bucket seats up front that are far more comfortable and upscale than the originals. There hasn't been much traffic venturing inside the doors since the restoration was completed, so all the surfaces are still looking their best, showing no creasing or wear marks. The seating is bracketed by cool blacked-out door panels in the very same like-new condition, and the center console that splits the buckets houses a shifter for the automatic transmission and a cool digital clock that adds a touch of modernity to the classic SS style. And speaking of modern, a full complement of digital gauges are inside a custom bezel just ahead of the driver, a retro-style digital AM/FM/AUX radio is centered in the dash, and the vents installed throughout pump cold air throughout the cabin via a Vintage A/C unit that was neatly incorporated. A supple dash protects the components, the headliner above is taut, and the black carpets below are plush, insulating the car from the road and giving it a very complete look and feel. Out back, the spacious trunk is nice and clean, showing off solid floors that tell the story of how solid this A-body really is.
There's plenty of power under the hood, with a period correct 396 cubic inch V8 sitting at the center of a show-stopper of an engine bay, surrounded by polished and detailed components throughout. It's armed with an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold and matching 4-barrel that sits underneath a properly badged chrome air cleaner, as well as a pair of chrome valve covers on its sides. Long-tube headers were added to improve the big block's output and the adjoining Flowmaster dual exhaust provides a nice, throaty lope - nothing drastic, but just enough to let you know there's a serious engine on board. The TH400 3-speed automatic transmission just behind the block offers great of-the-line performance, yet also has the gearing and makeup to easily manage highway speeds. A big aluminum radiator keeps the while party cool, power steering makes this upper echelon Chevelle easy to navigate, and power 4-wheel disc brakes help this baby stop on a dime. Finishing the look perfectly, this Chevy takes to the streets on a set of 17-inch American Racing Specials Edition wheels wrapped in Goodyear Eagle GT radials.
There's a huge pile of cash tied up in this car and it delivers on every single level. If some garden-variety Chevelle isn't for you, perhaps this incredible resto-mod will work better. Call today!
