1977 Chevrolet Blazer Additional Info:
This has been great truck and I'm sure it is going to make somebody a great daily driver or solid base for a restoration or modification project, but it's time for me to accept I don't have the time to finish it. I did not put this truck together to sell, but planned to keep it forever, so it has all good parts. It is in very good shape, and I get compliments just about everytime I drive it, but I am in Nevada. BUT, it is a 40+ year old truck. It runs, drives, stops, steers very well.
Drivetrain: Nicely rebuilt 400 small block (with about 8k miles on it) with a nice RV cam, Edelbrock Performer intake and 750 cfm carb, aluminum valve covers, headers, and other upgraded internal engine parts. I drive it like the old man I am, but this truck will do a great burn out if that's what you're into. The transmission has been upgraded to a built up (extra clutches) 700R4, four-speed automatic overdrive (just a few thousand miles on it) - very comfortable on the highway at 70 mph.
Spin-tech exhaust that sounds great but not too loud.Newer BFG All-terrain TA's on freshly painted rally wheels with new beauty rings. 4WD works great in the snow - I take it skiing but never off road. New carpet, underlayment, and spray on sound deadener. Aftermarket Grant wood steering wheel. Over $1,000 in a bluetooth Pinoeer Deck, amplifier, 4 Polk component speakers and a Sunshine Lab subwoofer - sounds fantastic!
Heated, power front seats from a 1999 Tahoe. I checked them for operations before I installed, but still need to run the power source to the seats. Rear seat is from a 1995 Tahoe. Nice seat covers on the front, but the Tahoe leather underneath is pretty shot. These seats are a huge safety improvement IMHO with the high back and headrest.
The trim on the truck is in remarkable shape, and the vast majority of it would only need a polish to be perfect. Very straight grille. All the body panels are in great shape as well - straight, little or no rust, except by the right rear wheel where it has been hit, and on the hood. I tried to get good pictures of the damage. Undercarriage is also very good shape with little or no rust. Newer brake job and bearing repack.
Odometer says 36,000. This is not actual mileage, but I have no idea if that is 136,000, 236,000 or more.
The bad:Needs a new windshieldPaint on the truck is passable as a daily driver, but the camper needs paint badly. Few leaks, seeps but nothing major. Some exhaust leak when it's cold between the header and exhaust pipe - needs new gaskets.
I have some good parts for this, that will come with: Full size mirrors, I think I have everything to convert to power windows (wiring and motors from a donor vehicle, as well as new wiring kit), may have some A/C parts if you want factory A/C, 2 new shocks left to put on, center console. There is a cool winch on the truck, but I have never hooked it up to see if it works. The lights on the brush guard are not wired up. I have new window lacing for the sides and front.
I'm sure there is more I am forgetting, but I have tried to capture all I am aware of. I am a long time eBay member with multiple car sells and multiple buys and 100% positive feedback, so you can bid with the confidence that you are getting what this description says it is. Please ask all questions ahead of bidding. And PLEASE don't bid on this if you're not going to buy it. Why do people do that? There is no reserve on this. Check into shipping if you need to - probably near 1,000 bucks just to get it on a truck, get your wife's permission if you need it, secure financing if you need it. - These issues have all happened to me. This truck is As-is, where-is, no warranty, and must be picked up here, in Washoe Valley, just south of Reno, Nevada.
Good Luck and thanks for looking!
