1987 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 2500 Additional Info:

I’ve owned this 1987 3/4 ton four wheel drive regular cab long box Chevrolet pickup for nearly 20 years. Itunderwent a complete frame-off professional restoration that was completed in 2011. It has 7400 miles since its completion in 2011. It was in an in-town fender bender that was my excuse to begin restoring it. I left no stone unturned and spared no expense. This pickup has been stored in a heated garage. It’s never seen rain, snow, hail, or foul weather, nor has it towed anything since the restoration. I have a spreadsheet and binder full of receipts documenting nearly every penny that’s gone into this pristine pickup. What follows is a partial list of what has been done:

  • 383 stroker crate motor with high flow heads, aluminum roller rockers, KB 9.2:1 pistons, Eagle crank, forged rods, EnginePro cam, Professional Products balancer, Cloyes double row timing chain, Meling oil pump, Edlebrock Performer TBI intake, and matched Venom injectors with adjustable fuel pressure valve; engine oil has always been Mobil 1 after initial break-in period
  • CFM Tech ported and blueprinted 620 CFM throttle body with new gaskets
  • LT1 dual electric cooling fan conversion with individual controls
  • Built 700r4 transmission: Alto Redline clutches, Kolene steels, Trans-go shift kit, High Energy 2-4 band, Corvette servo and governor, and Lokar shifter
  • Eagle Alloy 16”x 8” 8 lug wheels
  • Dakota Digital VFD gauges
  • 14 bolt rear with 3.42:1gear ratio
  • All AC components are new and the system is fully charged and functional
  • Undercarriage and inner panels professionally coated with 3M undercoating before assembly
  • All chassis fasteners that were practical to upgrade were upgraded to grade 8 or equivalent
  • New front leaf springs and all new bushings
  • All other drivetrain components were rebuilt and professionally prepped and booth painted
  • New bed to frame hardware and all body mounts
  • New fuel tank and sender, and new high flow AC Delco fuel pump with SPR performance adjustable fuel pressure regulator, and new fuel hoses
  • Air Lift rear bags with remote fill location behind secondary fuel fill door
  • Frame professionally sprayed in a booth with rust resistant chassis coating
  • New motor mounts
  • All wiring and hoses were painstakingly installed for a clean look, and protected and secured for durability
  • Hedmann headers with a fully ceramic coated dual exhaust with H-pipe and custom dual stainless discrete tips, and ceramic coated dual Dynomax Super Turbo mufflers
  • Harris Performance custom programmed TBI EPROM chip
  • DuPont factory white WA-L5111 base coat and multiple DuPont clear coats
  • New chrome front and rear bumpers, mirrors, and fender trim
  • New front and rear brakes, brake system proportioning valve, and hoses
  • LED taillight full board conversion (not just bulbs)
  • Extant Trifecta tonneau cover
  • Arma spray-in bedliner
  • “Special edition” grill, and all new polished trim
  • New CRLawrence rear slider window with new seal
  • New windshield and seal
  • Custom bolstered and upholstered bench seat and dash with DVD player and monitors
  • Integrated brake controller
  • All new interior panels, headliner, door cranks, and seals
  • New 3-point seatbelts and center lap belt
  • The only thing I believe this truck could use is 4 new tires. They’ve been on the pickup since well before the restoration.
  • Anything I’ve left out, from suspension components to seals, gaskets and electrical components, has likely either been rebuilt or replaced
