1972 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible Additional Info:
I have for sale a 1972 Convertible Corvette (Last year for the chrome front and rear bumpers). This is a numbers matching corvette although the motor that is in it is an automatic 350 with very little miles. I have the original motor that ran fine when it was removed and it will go with the car. The owner prior to me wanted something he could drive to shows that would be reliable. I just put a brand new exhaust system on it and it sounds incredible. I also have all new (less than 50 miles) Mickey Thompson tires on it. I just had it tuned by a local mechanic that strictly works on race cars. He put a new carburetor and tuned it nicely. I also put the original rally wheels back on it as I think they look nicer. I have had it for 3 years and just don’t have time to drive it. So my loss is your gain.
The Bad:
The previous owner was excited to restore the corvette and did a great job on the restoration until he got sick and rushed through the finish (paint and lining of panels) to get it ready for a quick sale. The body looks OK but could really use a good paint job. There are some other small things that could use some finishing up but all in all it’s about a 7/10. If you wanted to drive it the way it is, it’s a nice car and turns heads but if you wanted to sink a few $$ into it, it could be a beautiful car and worth $30-$40K.
I’m selling it for $19.5k which I think is a very reasonably price as I have much more than that in it. I don’t need to sell so please don’t waste my time with unreasonable offers. If you know corvettes, then you will know this is a good price! You will also know that they only go up in value and in 2 years, this will be the 50 year anniversary for this 72 last of the front and rear chrome bumper corvette which will raise the value even more. I do not need help selling it and if you’re a scammer, please don’t waste mine and your time! No tire kickers or free rides....If you don’t have cash in hand, you can’t drive it!!...Thanks for looking!
