1983 Chevrolet Suburban Ambulance K20 Additional Info:
STK 2788 1983 Chevrolet Suburban Ambulance K20
The Chevy Suburban is the undisputed longest-running nameplate in the United States. The first Suburban was built in 1935 and it has been in continuous production since – a total of over two million units over 12 generations. During World War II it was even used as a military vehicle. However, this particular 1983 Suburban found a different field of battle. This Suburban K20 served as an ambulance for most of its life. Overall, the exterior of this truck is in very good condition. The factory paint has been maintained and there is a front 'bull bar' with fog lights. The tan vinyl interior was refreshed in 2019 and presents well. All gauges are working perfectly, as is the air conditioning system. The windows are tinted glass. Under the hood, the engine and drivetrain appear to be original. A carbureted 5.7L 350ci V8 produces 165bhp-275lb/ft and delivers power through a 700-R4 four-speed automatic gearbox. The chassis is equipped with 4-wheel drive, manual locking hubs, 10-bolt differentials, power steering and power disc/drum brakes. Tires are meaty STA 'Superlug' 8PR radials in good condition mounted on 16" GM factory steel wheels. This unusual Suburban is a solid truck and should sell quickly. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
