1986 Chevrolet C-10 Silverado Additional Info:
This 1986 Chevrolet C10 Silverado pickup is what you might get if you decided to take a pickup truck down to the local car show to pick up a trophy. With a cool lowered stance, strong-running 305 V8, and a very attractive Frost White paint job, it's got a sleek look that totally works to give this Box Chevy a performance vibe.
Somehow, this truck manages to use both subtlety and aggressiveness together in its presentation, carrying Frost White paint to give it a low profile while also standing out just because it's so nicely done and sits on oversized chrome wheels. It's got a clean look that seems a lot more customized than it is and it really holds up well under scrutiny. Despite the low, wide look, the bodywork is completely stock, right down to the original badges and stock trim. No obnoxious cowl induction hood, no shaved handles, just a clean factory look on the body that makes the lowering job look even more impressive. The repainted white finish is absolutely dialed-in, with a deep luster and shine that only white paint can possess, and even though it's not a perfect 10, it's nevertheless a higher end job that really turns heads when it's bombing down the road or parked at the cruise-in. The factory grille has its center strip painted white, and we have to admit we adore the look of the grille and chin spoiler, all of which is supremely cool for being OEM. No wonder these 'mid-life cycle' 3rd generation C-10s have been popular since the day they hit Chevy dealers. Fresh chrome bumpers really pop against the white paint and one look in the fully painted, straight bed proves that this truck never really had to work hard for a living. A life spent in the South under the careful tutelage of conscientious owners has really paid dividends on this Square Body, and the result is a truck you'd never guess was 35 years old.
The interior is largely stock but does have a couple modern touches that kick it up a notch, starting with a beautifully reupholstered vinyl bench seat with cloth diamond-cut patterns inside that is surprisingly comfortable and looks awesome. And yes, that center arm rest partition with cup holders inside is completely integrated into the seat and completely cool. Plush blue carpets and blue door panels offer an OEM look and feel, blending in nicely with the custom bench via a diamond-cut pattern insert around the door handles. A stock two-spoke steering wheel is mounted on the factory tilt column, and factory bright-rimmed gauges set deep into round pods ahead of the driver. This Silverado has a couple very welcomed options, including cold factory A/C, a tilt steering column, and newer seatbelts, so it's comfortable enough to drive every day. The factory radio was swapped out for a newer AM/FM/Cassette head unit that now pumps out the tunes, sitting in a dash adorned with a clean, crack-free dash pad up top. It's clean, tight, and ready to use, but also slick enough to proudly show off.
Powering this Silverado is a stout 305 V8 motor that's running great thanks to years of regular maintenance, along with a little added oomph from an upgraded cam inside and a full exhaust that starts at the block hugging headers. Fitted with a chrome open-element air cleaner and finned valve covers that really pop out of the dark engine bay, and a modern belt system that means it's reliable and easy to service. It starts easily and idles smoothly from the start thanks to the wonders of electronics and history has already proven that these are some of the most bulletproof machines ever built. It's backed by a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission and stock 10-bolt rear end with highway-friendly gears inside, so it's a fantastic cruiser and actually pulls down decent fuel economy, too. The restrictive stock exhaust is gone, replaced by a throaty dual exhaust setup that sounds fantastic and the stock suspension has been lowered to give it that crouching stance. Oversized 20-inch Foose chrome wheels offer a cool custom look and are wrapped in 255/40/20 performance radials at each corner.
A cool truck with a lot of time and effort invested in the look and nothing done that would hurt reliability or the ability to use it every day. And that's why we love this Square Body Chevy. Call today!
