The truck is still finished in the original Apple Red and Frost White paint it left the factory with in Februaryof 1986. Red is a preferredcolor with any automobile and looks fantastic on a GMC truck of this vintage. General Motors was never known for quality paint in the 80s and the fact this truck still has its original paint is a testament to the preservation of this truck, spending its whole life in a mild climate. This truck is an ideally optioned 34 year old four wheel drive pickup. Starting with the foundation, this GMC is equipped with option C6P a Heavy Duty chassis which essentiallymeans this truck has a more stout frame shared with the bigger 1 ton trucks. A heavy duty Chevy 350 V8 with 4 bolt mains, backed by a heavy duty Muncie SM465 4 speed transmission. A New Process 208 transfer case with a low range of 2:61:1 powering a Corporate 14 bolt rear axle and a Corporate 10 bolt front axle with a 3:42 gear ratio. This truck is more than capable of getting any job done. This GMC is also equipped with the Sierra Classic trim package a more upscale choice in 1986, complete with fancier door panels complete with velour and pull strap inserts, polished dash inserts and carpet. There is a dent on the rear of the bed on the passenger side. The Apple Red and Frost White paint is 34 years old and shines nicely. However it is 34 years old GM paint there are some spots where the paint is thin, there are little dings and dents here and there. The truck still has the original rock chip guards in front of the rear tires. There is no rust holes on the truck. Climb underneathand the truck looks great.
