1992 Chevrolet Camaro Rally Sport Additional Info:
Here we go. Selling Snowball, my first car. I purchased it as the 9th (and hopefully last at the time) owner from a life of getting passed around, roughly about 10 years ago in still, mostly stock condition and enjoyed it for the next four years as it was. But then, one day about 6 years ago, I decided it needed more to life, so then came more power – and that is where it snowballed into the beauty you see here (its name came several years after the fact, it was also white before). That decision turned into over 1500 hours of my time and more money than I care to admit. It has been completed for a year, and in that time I have put about 10k miles on it. In fact, it made the trip from Tucson to Detroit and back for my final semester and performed flawlessly doing so, as intended of course. Every summer, when I returned from school, I worked on it for what seemed like an eternity. I sort of hated it, but I had a vision. The major technical work was done by my father (a Master Technician as of 35 years) where as I (Vehicle Designer/Military Mechanic/Enthusiast) did just about everything else.
Although the idea started with more power, there is a whole lot more that became of it. It needed to be 100% reliable; well sorted for daily driving, summer traffic and long road trips; get good fuel economy (29mpg at 70mph); be relatively quiet and comfortable (but not too much); capable of occasional track use (have yet to actually do); secure so it doesn't get stolen; inside and out it needed to be nice enough for car shows; and above all else, it needed to be enjoyable. I wanted to keep the original balance, just bring it up a notch in its entirety while also fixing all the bad this era of cars are known for. Everything has been labored over so that it all matches, nothing is under or overbuilt for its purpose. I built this car for me. As such, there are so many details here you will not find in a flip. This build is complete top to bottom, it does not need anything. Most of the car is not original anymore and all the stuff that was done, was done so correctly with new, quality, brand name parts. It has been well taken care of and should provide you years of joy. I went through and made this car as great as I could and hopefully as a result, gave it a better life with less getting passed around. Planned on keeping it forever, but with the student loan interest suspension in effect, it is a really good time to pay those off – so that is why you see it before you.
Not a lot of these thirdgen cars are getting love these days, here is your opportunity to own a one of a kind labor of love.
The pictures should explain enough, but if you have more questions, I am an open book and can certainly work with buyers across the country.
